What is it about? 

The use of coercion has long been standard practice in psychiatric care. However, recent ethical, legal and political developments are aimed at reducing or abolishing coercion. This book summarises the arguments in favour of abolishing coercion and discusses the potential implications and dilemmas associated with this.  

This is a slightly expanded and updated English-language version of the 2023 German edition.
